Our goal is to represent the interests of members and to promote the biology for the benefit of society and its environment in the Republic of Austria and the European Union in theory and practice.
We see ourselves as a communication forum for all biologists, teachers, whatever their professional orientation.
We provide and promote public relations and education within the meaning of our mission statement, including through publication of the magazine "bioskop.
We take a position on current issues, develop concepts and advise decision makers in society.
We are committed to the future generations, sustainable and peaceful life under equal people, the preservation of the biological world heritage is our concern. Therefore, we support activities in the nature and the environment, as well as for financial support of the health and welfare on personal, social and ecological level.
In the spirit of inter-professional interaction, the Executive Board is composed of representatives of as many different fields of biological professions. The Board is looking at using modern information technologies, the continuous communication with all members and other organizations.
To the realization of the tasks necessary funds we raise about membership dues, sales of the magazine "bioskop" and promotion.
