GUIDANCE FOR COMPLETING THE EUROPEAN PROFESSIONAL BIOLOGIST APPLICATION FORM

Please read these notes and the Regulations for the European Professional Biologist title before completing the application form.

1. PERSONAL DETAILS

Please use block capitals for this section of the form.

 

Title

Use Professor, Dr, Mr, Mrs, Miss or Ms.

 

Degrees

Only certain degrees are recognised by ECBA for the purposes of the European Professional Biologist title; a list of these is given in Annex 2 of the Regulations.

 

National biological associations

This should be one of the ECBA member bodies listed in Annex 1 of the Regulations.

 

2. ADDRESS FOR CORRESPONDENCE

Please use block capitals for this section of the form.

 

3. EDUCATION AT UNIVERSITY LEVEL OR EQUIVALENT

 

Title of degree

 

Write the title(s) of the degree(s) that you have received, eg Bachelor of Science (BSc)

 

Subject (and specialisms)

 

Write the subjects and specialisms as specified on your degree certificate.

 

Period of study

 

Write the year in which you started your degree course and the year in which you obtained the degree, eg 1972 - 1976. If the degree was obtained by part-time study, write 'part-time'.

 

Professional titles

 

Write the name(s) of any professional or other qualification(s) you have received, eg Chartered Biologist (CBiol). Under 'Date' write the year in which the qualification was awarded.
