 08.11.2010 On 5 November, CEES Chair Nils Chr. Stenseth was awarded the Bonnevie Prize 2010 (Bonnevieprisen) by the Norwegian Biologist Association (Norsk biologforening). The award honoured his outstanding contribution to the dissemination of biology to the general public, both nationally and internationally.

 14.04.2010 Representatives of the European Commission, the European Parliament and the European Council reached a compromise on a directive covering the protection of animals used for scientific purposes (86/609/EEC) on 7 April.

 09.04.2010 The ECBA has placed her new site online. Thanks to the hard work of our webmaster the ECBA has a new and updated website which makes the ECBA ready for the future. The content has been updated and the members section is also renewed. More news will follow.
